A Brief Overview:
As an Assistant Vice President, Business HR you play a crucial role in shaping and advancing our human resources strategies. In this role you will lead a team of HR professionals, who are trusted advisors and partners to business leaders, that will, via your leadership, enable strategic people-oriented solutions via planful and consistent execution supported by the HR Business team. In addition, you will serve as a bridge between business leaders and the HR Centers of Expertise providing insight, feedback and business perspective to ensure HR programming supports the achievement of system goals. The AVP, Business HR will strive to harmonize system HR programs and practices through strong collaboration and partnership with the business, Business HR and the HR Centers of Expertise. A critical aspect of this role will involve managing change in partnership with HR subject matter experts, beginning with identifying current variations to recommending, operationalizing and guiding key stakeholders through change management to ensure successful in a seamless manner.

What you will do:
  • Establishes strong relationships and provides strategic business and thought partnership to business leaders, serving as the main point of contact for HR. Partners to achieve results and solve business challenges through best practice programs and policies in the areas of talent and performance management, reward, recognition, career development, succession management, retention, engagement, wellbeing and employee relations.
  • Leads a team of HR Business Partners, who are the primary HR contact for operational leadership, to provide exceptional customer service and counsel to leaders in the achievement of strategic initiatives. Possess and exercises stellar people management skills to attract, develop and retain a top-notch HR Business Partner team.
  • Demonstrates HR operational expertise, possesses a solid understanding of all core HR areas and fosters a spirit of cooperation and respect in all interactions.
  • Skillfully approaches business challenges with a system focus and adeptly collaborates to solve business challenges from concept to solution with strong execution skills while considering the big picture and the impact of decisions on all parts of the organization.
  • As a trusted advisor to leadership, provides objective and specific insight regarding people and organizational dynamics and translates this insight into actions to advance Endeavor Health.
  • Collaborates with HR leaders to identify and facilitate change management and communications strategies associated with adapted business and HR practices. Engages appropriate HR experts and business leaders to fully understand all impacts and optimize outcomes.
  • Monitors and communicates HR metrics to key business leaders, identifying trends and performance gaps, and collaborates on recommended solutions and actions. Uses data and business analytics to inform strategic decision making.
  • Partners with Centers of Expertise to provide business context to System Philosophies and program development optimizing business aligned outcomes.
  • Stays abreast of legal changes that may organizational policies or practices. With the Policy Team, leads efforts to implement changes ensuring compliance and fostering a positive work environment that demonstrates our values.
  • Provides direction and development to the HR Business Partner team through communication, coaching, goal-setting and regular feedback as it relates to performance.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, human resources, or equivalent.
  • Masters degree preferred
  • Professional certification in the field of Human Resources (e.g. CCP, PHR/SPHR, SHRM CP/SCP, or equivalent) is preferred
  • Professional certifications in the areas of Project Management, Change Management, and Process improvement (e.g. PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent) preferred
  • 10 years relevant and progressive experience in Human Resources
  • 5 years of leadership experience managing a team of three or more employees
  • 5 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting
