Job Description

Performs Shipping & Receiving department duties to safely unload and load products of high quality, sufficient volume, and in compliance with company procedures and policies. Duties will include operating forklifts, producing blended products, donning PPE, managing safety around chemicals, transferring products, processing paperwork, and executing SAP transactions.

The shift requirements will vary, depending on the shift assignment. This can be all 1st or 2nd shift, as well as a variable schedule covering weekend any given week.

With this role other expectations will include:

Responsibilities:

  • Administers reactor and equipment to run reactors safely, SAP functions to control and disposition inventory accurately, including electronic transactions, documentation and communication.
  • Duties will include operating reactors, work tanks, heat exchangers, homogenizers, chemical distribution and dispensing systems, and performing scheduling, inventorying and managing raw materials, updating work instructions, transitioning inventory into products, cycle counting, and database entry and other associated activities, etc.
  • Responsibility to keep work areas clean and organized, including equipment stations, inventory areas, tank farm areas, associated hose stations, etc.
  • Operation of DeltaV software for production and/or local process control controllers.
  • Complete analytical analysis and quality testing as required (in-process testing; pH & Halogen)
  • Record data and/or maintain documentation per Solenis standards to comply with all ISO 9001 standards and Solenis policies.
  • Coordinate operator schedule coverage
  • Monitor and record scrubber readings
  • Perform analysis of finished products
  • Monitor production area conditions
  • Monitor and maintain raw material and finished goods inventory
  • Change out raw material totes

Qualifications

Education

  • H.S. Diploma / A.S. or Certificate Program Preferred

Experience

  • 1-3 yrs previous manufacturing / process experience, preferably in a chemical environment including material handling

Knowledge

  • Microsoft Office, SAP and Lotus Notes experience a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform manual labor in outdoor environment including use of stairs and lifting to 50 pounds. Must meet OSHA requirements to wear respirator. Work extended hours: up to 12 hours in length. Work multiple shifts.
