Job Summary	Supports evening care students with school success, helps prepare early childhood students for school readiness, and assists the center director. This is a grant funded position.
Job Description	Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observation for ages 3-5, Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children ages 3-5 in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way. Using your coursework training, model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being and attention of all children while leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play. Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel. Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children. Meets regularly with the Program Director regarding professional progress and team accountability.
Minimum Qualifications	Must have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field with ECE coursework. Professional Educator License (type 04) in Early Childhood Knowledge of Teaching Strategies (TS) Gold, desirable. Knowledge of Creative Curriculum, desirable. Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills. Works well in a team environment. Ability to meet state-specific requirements, CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities	Knowledge of pre-school children between 3-5 yrs. Preferred Head Start experiences. Meet all University and DCFS hiring requirements, including background check and Physical. Follow all DCFS licensing guidelines. Attend and participate in all required training and professional development opportunities.
Additional Applicant Information
Physical Requirement/ Demands	Must be able to sit and kneel eye level to children when communicating with children. Ability to lift 25lbs.
