Job Description

Job Purpose:

Our next Clinical Therapist will expand our work in treating children and youth through play therapy, early childhood mental health services, and general mental health treatment at Wellpoint Care Network while collaborating and learning with other providers interdepartmentally .

Duties:

  • Provides effective, evidenced based clinical services to caseload of clients.
  • Develops and effectively implements treatment plans in conjunction with the client, and his/her parent(s) if applicable.
  • Demonstrates client progress on treatment plan goals.
  • Employs a trauma informed care perspective in treatment.
  • Demonstrates family investment and participation in treatment planning and ongoing treatment.
  • Assists families in crisis resolution and de-escalation through developing appropriate crisis plans.
  • Maintains a consistent productivity standard as defined on employment.
  • Helps the individual and family negotiate access to services and resources in the community and minimize barriers.
  • Reviews the regulatory standards of DHS 35, DHS 95 and S 51.61 and abides by all standards

    Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in social work or equivalent, LCSW or LPC required.
  • Willingness to train the right individual ,two years post masters experience providing individual, child, group and family therapy preferred.
  • Experience in early childhood mental health preferred or made available.
  • Training in evidence-based play therapy modalities preferred or made available.
  • Experience working with children under the age of 8 preferred
  • Must be honest, dependable, and able to meet deadlines; Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and meet agency auto insurance requirements.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, detail oriented, highly effective verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to effective understanding and practice of cultural humility and ability work and communicate respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient in the usage of computer software; demonstrate an understanding of computer file systems and databases, e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Teams, ADP, etc.

Position Details & Extras:

  • Full time.
  • Hybrid work is available with reliable broadband connection.
  • Moderate exposure to noise.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the cultural differences among diverse groups and the need to adapt service provision to match these differences in respectful ways.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) - Wellpoint employees may be eligible for loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
  • Interaction with personnel, clients, family members, visitors, volunteers, interns, and vendors under all conditions and circumstances.
  • Fast paced, flexible work schedule includes evenings and some weekends to accommodate program need.
  • Physical exam, drug screen, motor vehicle report, and background checks are required for this position.
