POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum of a Grade Twelve Diploma along with Post-Secondary education in an accredited power engineering program. A 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate is a minimum requirement and preference is given to a 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate. The incumbent must have a valid driver's license. Relevant experience in the petrochemical or related industry, preferably in the Ammonia and Urea manufacturing sector is an asset.
POSITION SCOPE/CONTRIBUTION:
The Chemical Operator - Ammonia/Utilities is one of nine operator positions on an operating crew. This position functions in the efficient operation of two 1,750 ton/day ammonia plants with nominal output of 1,200,000 tons per year, plus all water treatment and effluent areas of the plant site.
Expectation of full progression to Board/Panel Operator, and maintain through requalification process
This is a shift work position on an Ammonia/Utilities crew.
