Job Description Summary | Adjunct Faculty are responsible for teaching advanced practice nursing students in the clinical setting in one of the following specialization areas: Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, and/or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies, adjunct faculty function as non-tenured faculty temporarily employed by Lewis University College of Nursing and Health Professions to teach a clinical or theory section of a course. |

Responsibilities | Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. -Serve as a model of professionalism and act as a resource for students within the teaching-learning environment |
Minimum Qualifications | Licensed as APRN in the State of Illinois; certified as a FNP, AGPCNP or AGACNP; must have at least 12 months of full-time NP practice experience; must have schedule flexibility to be available for students; excellent communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Word office, Powerpoint, and other computer applications. |
Preferred Qualifications | prior teaching experience desired. Familiarity with a Learning Management System (e.g. Blackboard, Deisre2Learn, etc.) |
