This is a Relief-Staff position. Relief-Staff are available to cover shifts left vacant by vacationing or ill staff, or because of staffing changes. The purpose of the Youth Care Worker role is to implement and monitor a behavior management system that's focused on decreasing aggressive/violent and inappropriate behavior, while increasing positive alternative behavior. Youth Care Workers provide direct care and supervision to at-risk girls (ages 12-17) in an 8-bed Group Home setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Department of Children & Families (DCF) regulation requires all Youth Care Workers to complete a minimum of 24-hours of training per year (prorated for the first-year based on start date), which is paid for by the company.
