The Fostering Futures (FF) Collaborative is accepting applications for a professional to join its leadership team and direct its statewide programming. Responsibilities include: build capacity to achieve project goals and priorities; coordinate core teams and advisory groups in pilot communities; strengthen capacity for evaluation; and grant management.
Context
FF intends to translate into practice, (i.e., “operationalizing”) knowledge gained from The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) studies and subsequent research on brain trauma and resiliency. FF aims to develop a statewide, interdisciplinary approach, informed by three local communities and a state policymakers group, to integrate evidence about ACE and the benefits of resiliency and trauma-informed care (TIC) into state and local systems of care that impact Wisconsin children and families involved in the child welfare system.
Job Duties

Build FF’s capacity to achieve goals and priorities

Facilitate a core team and advisory group in each pilot site

Plan and participate in shared-learning experiences

Provide grant management support

Build relationships within each pilot community

Strengthen FF’s capacity for program evaluation

Support the development of a plan for FF’s long-term sustainability
Qualifications:
-
Grant-funded program coordination and management experience
-
Grant writing, management and administration (including budgeting)
-
Familiarity with organizational and coalition development
-
Understanding of and experience with community engagement.

Excellent communication skills: writing, listening and the ability to communicate between different committees and across different styles effectively. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a way that furthers relationships and builds confidence.

Organizational skills: results-oriented, detail-oriented and well organized; self-directed.

Computer skills: fluency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, web-based applications (e.g., Google groups, etc.)

Understanding of and appreciation for Wisconsin’s diverse cultures

Master’s in Public Health, Social Work or related health field

Excellent work skills: assertive, independent learner, high integrity, dependable
