Position Description

Mount Mary College is currently seeking an individual to contribute to the realization of our mission through the role of full time Custodial Maintenance.  Under the direction of the Building and Grounds Supervisor, the custodial maintenance position duties include a variety of work in the maintenance/repair of campus building facilities and grounds.
 
The Maintenance position includes but not limited to all or part of the following areas:
 
Complete jobs as required by the appropriate work orders.
Perform work in areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry and painting tasks.
Remove and/or replace ceiling tile.
Trouble shoot, repair and adjust locks, doors, cabinets, desks and door hinges.
Change filters on ventilation and air conditioning systems.
Assist in winter snow removal where needed.
Assist in moving furniture and equipment.
Assist custodial staff as needed.
Perform a variety of routine duties related to facility maintenance.
Assist engineering staff in removing or installing air conditioners.
Patch, repair and paint walls.
Possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
 
Knowledge of the standard principles, methods, practices and techniques used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities.  Effectively and safely operate all appropriate tools and equipment. 
 
Display initiative and dependability to work on an individual basis or as part of a team.  Must be able to walk long distances, stand for extended periods of time, bend, and twist and climb stairs and ladders as related to assigned tasks. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
