Mount Mary is seeking an individual to contribute to the realization of our mission through the role of Director of Institutional Research.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS: President, Vice President for Finance and Administration; Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs; Vice President for External Relations; Vice President for Mission and Identity, and Vice President for Enrollment Services
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION: This full time position, which reports to the President, is responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of institutional data necessary to support the work of the College.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct qualitative and quantitative research;

Serve as a resource for research projects;

Analyze, interpret, and share information to support college decision making;

Provide accurate data to facilitate college-wide planning to establish short-term and long-range goals;

Do data mining to understand relationships among the data and/or to predict trends;

Collect, analyze, interpret, and report information and data related to academic program planning; institutional management, and financial planning, including, but not limited to student demographics, enrollment trends, needs assessment, survey and focus-group research, student retention and persistence; recruitment and financial aid surveys;

Support grant development;

Serve as a resource to the college accreditation process, program accreditation processes, compliance review programs, and program reviews;

Plan, prepare, and produce a variety of regular and ad hoc reports and publications, including state and federal reports, dashboards, and an annual fact book;

Develop and maintain research-related databases as required;

Effectively integrate Jenzabar EX with institutional research information;

Develop systems and procedures to enhance the college’s ability to access and analyze information;

Maintain an institutional research calendar and ensure that cyclical project timelines are met;

Participate in college committees and shared governance structures;
-
Participate in professional organizations, conferences, and workshops to keep informed of current ideas, research, and practices related to the position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a research-oriented discipline or related field that demonstrates applications related to institutional research and assessment.
Experience appropriately related to this position at the college level.
Preferred qualifications: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in the design, research, and conduct of research; experience with Jenzabar EX
