Mount Mary University, Wisconsin’s oldest Catholic university for women, is seeking an individual to contribute the realization of our mission through the role of a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Creative Writing and Literature beginning in fall 2015. The teaching load is 12 credits per semester on a 9 month contract. Consistent with the mission of the University, the successful candidate will reflect a commitment to social justice and a deep understanding and appreciation for the Catholic intellectual tradition, and a commitment to the education for leadership of a diverse community of women.
The Department of English at Mount Mary University seeks a dynamic instructor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in writing, including short story, novel, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Ability to teach composition and general literature is also desired. Teaching experience and a terminal degree (Ph.D. or MFA) in hand at the start of the appointment is required.
