Millwright and Millwright Trainee

Located in West Allis, Wisconsin, Unit Drop Forge is a world class manufacturer of custom designed closed-die forged steel components. We have been producing exceptional quality parts for a wide variety of markets such as: Construction, Off-Highway, Mining, Railroad, Wind Energy, Oil Field, Compressors, Forestry and Defense.
Unit Drop Forge is looking to add to the positions of Millwright and Millwright Trainee on the UDF Team
Job Summary:
You'll be responsible for the safe and timely repair and maintenance of steam forging hammers, trim presses, shears, furnaces, conveyors, piping, buildings, and concrete work in and around our heavy industrial facilities. If you love getting dirty and using your skills to keep the "big stuff" running like clockwork, this is the place for you!
Qualifications:
- Millwright or Maintenance Mechanic experience in a forge shop or similar heavy industrial environment a plus
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- High School graduate or equivalent education
- Excellent blueprint reading ability
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to drive forklift truck
- Ability to read and write English
- Good verbal and written communication
