Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Vice President of Development in planning, implementing, coordinating, and meeting the strategic goals of the Development Office and its fund-raising objectives.  Primary responsibility for the entry, recording, and receipting of contributions and backup of Jenzabar reporting.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:           
Manages functions of department office including maintenance of supplies, equipment, communication, shared files, and department meetings/events. 
Lead role for gift processing in Jenzabar gift process including database input, appropriate recordkeeping, donor acknowledgements and communication with MMU President (& other appropriate personnel).
Provide support as needed for fund-raising and alumnae activities including major donor events, cultivation meetings, CREO, Fall Transforum, the Challenge, Homecoming on the Mount, etc.
Participate in the compilation and production of documents/reports.
Backup for Jenzabar, Constant Contact, & electronic communication.
Shared supervision of student workers.
Maintenance the annual departmental budget and related functions such as processing invoices.
Administrative support for the Vice President of Development.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Development.
 
 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities                                                       
  • Significant aptitude and experience with computers, Microsoft Office suite, and relational databases
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in solving problems
  • Strong written communication skills and a clear, concise writing style
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with co-workers and University constituent.
  • Strict adherence to ethical standards and protection of donors’ right.
  • Demonstrable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Understands and affirms the mission of Mount Mary University and the School Sisters of Notre Dame
  • Excellent attention to detail and deadlines and strong organizational skills
 
Qualifications
 
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree.
