Company Overview
Listed below are the Society's Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Strategic Direction Statement and Hallmark Values and related Core Principles. Our Mission states why the Society exists. Our Vision defines the desired outcome of our work. Our Strategic Direction defines where we want to be as an organization. And our Hallmark Values and related Core Principles identify the values that we strive to integrate into all aspects of our work.
Our Mission: To share God’s love in word and deed by providing shelter and supportive services to older persons and others in need, believing that “In Christ’s Love, Everyone Is Someone.” Our Vision: To create an environment where people are loved, valued and at peace.
Our Strategic Direction: To lead the way in supporting well-being… at your place or ours.
Our Hallmark Values and related Core Principles: Christ-centered (compassion) is to be captured by the love of Jesus, to follow in His footsteps, to take His teaching seriously, to share His word and to carry on his work. One primary way we do this in Good Samaritan Society communities is through compassion, going above and beyond to meet one another’s deepest human needs.
Resident-centered (hospitality) is to listen to those who live in Good Samaritan communities, to understand their needs and to work with them in providing the fullest possible life. To provide that quality of life, we emphasize hospitality, which challenges every Good Samaritan Society center and campus to become a Christian community where people love and care for one another.
Staff-centered (vocation) is to recognize staff as the Good Samaritan Society’s greatest treasure and to respect and support them in every way possible. The idea of vocation lifts up the importance for staff to have the opportunity to serve and to learn and grow in their capacity to serve.
Community-centered (service) is to be sensitive to the needs of the community and to partner with them in providing an array of services to meet those needs. The idea of service includes both the many benefits our care centers offer to people in the community, and the many ways volunteers enrich the lives of those in our care communities. |
