Bergstrom's fantastic journey began in 1982, with the opening of our first General Motors facility in Neenah, Wisconsin.

Automotive expansion in the valley followed with another General Motors store in Appleton. The first Oshkosh store, now Buick-Pontiac-GMC-Cadillac opened on Jackson Street in 1986.

Enterprise Motorcars and it's line of European Imports opened in Appleton. While Honda-Toyota-Nissan-Scion brought the import division to Oshkosh.

Saturn introduced a new decade with a new concept of marketing vehicles. Success breeds success, and soon the Saturn experience spread across Wisconsin from Appleton to Green Bay, Eau Claire, Fond du Lac, La Crosse and Wausau. Bergstrom's Saturn stores are the largest privately held Saturn retail group in North America.

Bergstrom expanded north with the addition of Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep of Sturgeon Bay. Expansion in Appleton included Bergstrom Buick-Pontiac, which added the GMC Truck franchise.

We entered into the Ford business segment with the purchase of Bergstrom Ford-Lincoln-Mercury of Rhinelander. In fall of 2000, Bergstrom Ford of Neenah was opened, bringing the largest Ford operation north of Milwaukee to the Fox River Valley.

Bergstrom completed yet another business challenge by opening the nation's first freestanding HUMMER facility in 2002 in Milwaukee.

The roll continued, as two new world class luxury stores were created on the north side of Appleton. Bergstrom Lexus of Appleton and Bergstrom Premier Motorcars opened their doors.

In January of 2003, the company purchased its first dealership in Madison, opening Bergstrom Cadillac-HUMMER on the beltline. Bergstrom opened one brand new state-of the art 60,000 square foot Chevrolet facility next to Bergstrom HUMMER of Milwaukee; creating the company's largest facility and is destined to be its biggest volume outlet!

In October of 2005 we opened our brand-new Oshkosh Chevrolet-Cadillac dealership off of Hwy 41.

A lot has changed since that first dealership way back in 1982, but then again, a lot hasn't.
