Company Overview

Set in a vibrant neighborhood at the heart of the Twin Cities, Augsburg College offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and seven graduate degrees to more than 4,000 students of diverse backgrounds. The trademark of an Augsburg education is its emphasis on direct, personal experience. Augsburg's undergraduate program of liberal arts and sciences is offered on both a traditional weekday schedule and a non-traditional weekend and evening schedule. Augsburg offers master's degree programs in business, education, leadership, nursing, physician assistant studies, and social work, and a doctoral program in nursing practice.

Augsburg's Minneapolis campus surrounds Murphy Square, the oldest park in Minneapolis. The University of Minnesota West Bank campus and one of the city's largest medical complexes - the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview - are adjacent to Augsburg, with the Mississippi River and the Seven Corners theatre district just a few blocks away. Convenient bus routes run by the campus, and two light rail stations are just blocks away. Campus diversity is enhanced by Augsburg's location at the crossroads of the Twin Cities' most diverse neighborhoods. The College's location also provides access for all of Augsburg's students to participate in community service and internship experiences that not only enhance their classroom learning but also prepare them for life's work in a multi-cultural society. Augsburg College educates students to be informed citizens, thoughtful stewards, critical thinkers, and responsible leaders. The Augsburg experience is supported by an engaged community that is committed to intentional diversity in its life and work. An Augsburg education is defined by excellence in the liberal arts and professional studies, guided by the faith and values of the Lutheran church, and shaped by its urban and global settings.
