The BBB (Better Busines Bureau)  is a private, nonprofit organization setting and upholding high standards for fair and honest business behavior for  over 100 years.  BBB provides objective advice, free Business Reviews,  Charity  Reports, timely news alerts, current local and national scams along with educational information on topics affecting marketplace trust.  The BBB also offers free complaint and dispute resolution support for consumers and businesses when there is a difference in viewpoints.

We exist so consumers and businesses alilke have an unbiased source to guide them on matters of trust.   Our staff assists local media statewide in alerting the public and business community of local scams and frauds.

The first BBB was founded in 1912. Today, nearly 110 local BBBs serve communities across the U.S. and Canada, evaluating and monitoring more than 3 million local and national businesses and charities.

Our Mission: BBB’s mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. BBB accomplishes this mission by:

• Denouncing substandard marketplace behavior.

We see trust as a function of two primary factors – integrity and performance. Integrity includes respect, ethics and intent. Performance speaks to a business’s track record of delivering results in accordance with BBB standards and/or addressing customer concerns in a timely, satisfactory manner.
 

The BBB offers "Accreditated Business" status to businesses that financially support the BBB's free community services and contractually agrees and adheres to our agreement including; adhering to honest advertising practices, maintaining their proper industry  licensing, and completing a company background check.   BBB offers Accreditation only to qualifying businesses as a recognition for absolute confidence in choosing a company with a track record for ethical behavior.
