Gross Automation is an electrical and electro-mechanical automation controls distributor serving Wisconsin and the upper Midwest.

History Bob Gross became an independent manufacturer's representative for a large Midwestern distributor in 1986. This was after a number of positions beginning as a power t&d engineer and migrating into technical sales and marketing. The business, R. J. Gross and Associates, Inc. was incorporated on August 3rd, 1990 and the manufacturer's representative team moved into distribution in late 1991. From there, beginning in a small 400 square foot facility on Milwaukee's northwest side, the business has grown into its current 10,000 square foot headquarters in New Berlin, Wisconsin with a satellite office in Sparta on Wisconsin's western side. Early in 2002, the name was shortened to Gross Automation to help define the market and the customers that are served.
