Community Living Arrangements, Inc. came into existence in the fall of 1985 in response to a need for a local provider to offer residential services for adults with developmental disabilities.

CLA began with two eight-person homes in Walworth County, WI. In 1990, the agency made a decision to expand into other counties, providing services to more severely handicapped individuals. Currently CLA operates four Community Based Residential Facilities (CBRF) and ten Adult Family Homes (AFH). As of January 2013 CLA operates fourteen homes in six counties which provides comfort and safety to over seventy residents.
