Company OverviewA-B Credit Union was established in 1932 as the Allen Bradley Employees Credit Union to serve the employees of the Allen Bradley Company, one of the City of Milwaukee''s premiere manufacturing companies. From its inception to today, the credit union''s principal goal has been to provide quality, personal financial services to its members while maintaining the long-term financial stability of the credit union and as a member-owned, not-for-profit institution has remained dedicated to the cooperative philosophy. In 1984 the credit union''s name was officially changed to A-B Credit Union to reflect the expanded member base and additional employee groups that the credit union began serving. Since then other Milwaukee area credit unions, representing Mueller Climatrol, Grede Foundry and H O Bostrom elected to become a part of A-B Credit Union. Through the years A-B Credit Union has evolved its products and services to meet the needs of its members. Following the installation of a state-of-the-art computer system in 1992 the credit union introduced Phone Express Teller, a service that allows members to conduct over 25 inquiries and transactions with the credit union at any time from any location that the member has access to a TouchTone Telephone. In 1995 its office facility was expanded and a drive up facility was added. A Visa Credit Card was introduced in 1996. In 1997 the credit union began to participate in the Wisconsin Shared Service Centers, a service that provides members with alternative credit union locations at which they can conduct routine financial transactions. Today, the credit union''s professional employees provide a full range of financial products and services to over 9,000 members and 51 employee groups. Its community charter welcomes anyone who works or resides in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington, and Waukesha counties to become a member. |
