In this course you will learn how to organize, develop and employ an effective job search. In addition, we will explore networking basics and how, when incorporated into a job search, may increase your success. Monday, November 16th, 2009 From 9:00 am to 11:00 am Resume Critiques Workshop Do you have a resume and just need some helpful pointers? Bring in your resume and meet in a small group with a resume professional for review, revisions and suggestions. The goal of this session is to create a stronger, more effective resume. Session limited to 5 participants per 1/2 hour. Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 From 10:30 am to 12:00 pm (noon) Interviewing Workshop Learn how to plan, prepare and dress for a successful interview. We will discuss the different types of interviews, key interview questions and tips for your next interview. Thursday, November 19th, 2009 From 10:30 am to 12:00 pm (noon) Jobs In Healthcare Workshop Would you like to work in healthcare? In this course, we will identify various types of jobs in this field and those in high demand. We will look at what training and qualifications are needed, in addition to identifying training programs available for these positions. From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Writing A Successful Resume Workshop A resume is a tool used to sell your “skills” and “qualifications” to an employer. In this workshop, we will discuss the components of a resume. You will learn about different resume formats and which styles are best to highlight your skills, training and experience.
