Technical Support Engineer
Job Description:
Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine support activities in the technical support function.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a technical liaison, is responsible for providing troubleshooting and repair technical support to company field engineers, technicians, and customers.
- Assesses and responds to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment or software.
- May report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to engineering.
- This entry-level position requires knowledge of company product lines and troubleshooting methods.
- May assist Sales Manager, and dealers in price quotes, technical questions, and product demonstrations.
- Coordinates with Sales, Material Control, and Q.C. on customer queries.
- Collects background data (cost, order history, etc.) to assist in large order negotiations.
- Maintains competitive literature and pricing files for ready reference. Write application notes.
- Assist with touchscreen product return testing and analysis.
Qualifications
- 3+ years' of technical support experience
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background
- Customer service oriented
- Strong written and verbal and troubleshooting skills
