BASIC FUNCTION:
Milwaukee Public Schools School Social Workers assist in modifying social, emotional and environmental factors affecting children’s education in order to promote an equitable and successful school experience.
- A Master's Degree (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Clinical Experience in a K-12 school setting
- A valid School Social Work license issued from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI)
- This position is covered under the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS)
To perform this job successfuly, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidates must have a valid Wisconsin drivers license and a vehicle with liability coverage insurance policy to conduct home visits. This job also requires candidsates to lift 8-10 pounds. Salary starts at $63,689 - $104,477/year
